What to expect

  • Usually a wide variety of plants to choose from, many of which are divisions of larger plants from club members.  Also orchid supplies are typically available.
  • Some, but not all plants will be in spike or bloom.
  • Many at very reasonable prices compared to buying a new plant at a show or from a vendor.
  • Much more variety to choose from than Home Depot.
  • Plus you can talk to the original plant owner to get growing tips.
  • There will also be some non-orchid items in a silent auction. Check our Facebook page for details.

Auctioning your Plants

If you have orchids to sell, send list of orchids (and photo of flowers if possible) to Jordan, jojolob15@gmail.com so she can include in her auction slideshow. Later entries will be auctioned at the end, time permitting.

Auction setup starts at 10:00 am.

Link to auction tag form is below. Please tag plants prior to bringing them to the auction site. Indicate if minimum price is FIRM. If no one bids on plant at minimum price, auctioneer will lower starting price if price is NOT firm. If firm, plant goes home unsold. Please also ensure orchid has a plant tag as auction tag goes to our Treasurer. Buyers do not like to get home with a new purchase only to discover they have a new ‘no name’ (unless it was sold as such).

NEWOS gets 25%, seller gets 75%.
